Mission Statement, Vision & Values

 

Labelled? Dance Theatre & Film are an neurodiverse dance company, empowering autistic ballerinas and encouraging male dancers to become better allies. 

​

Our mission is to provide choreographic skills, dance technique, autism awareness, careers advice and performance opportunities.

​

Our vision is to make dance accessible for autistic clientele and unite them with non-autistic dancers to increase social integration.

​

The core values of Labelled? Dance Theatre & Film are: Access; Inclusion; Change; Education; and Engagement.

Adam John Roberts - Founder & Creative Performing Artist

​

Adam John Roberts is an autistic-LGBT creator/performer/facilitator developing high-quality contemporary dance works of which are technological, autobiographical and abstract.

 

His choreographic credits include “BE” (commissioned by Dance Syndrome (2025)) and “The Peacemaker” (subject to Developing Your Creative Practice funded by Arts Council England (2024)).

 

Performance highlights include dancing in Unmute Dance Company’s “uMoya” (2023) and the BBC Showcase with “Strictly Come Dancing” and the Backstreet Boys.

 

Adam is skilled in contemporary, ballet, jazz, and musical theatre styles, and also proficient in ice-skating, social media marketing, web development, and film editing.
